What you can do here

ChatterFlix allows you to watch movies together with other viewers throughout the internet in a communal viewing experience as if you were sitting in the same movie theater together.

How can I do that?

It is necessary that you own and have handy in your computer's DVD-ROM drive, the physical DVD for the movie you would like to watch and participate with on ChatterFlix.com. Listed on the front page and in the "Site Requirements" is a plugin you will need to install. This plugin allows ChatterFlix.com to control the playback of the DVD in your computer.

**When loading the DVD into your computer, if the default DVD player launches automatically (winDVD, powerDVD, etc), please quit that application before entering into a screening on ChatterFlix.com so that the two applications to not cause conflicts with each other.

Try it out

Once you have the plugin installed, and a DVD in your drive, you may visit the "Freestyle Chatter" room which is a free flowing room that allows you to test that your DVD playback is working and also to freely chat with others who are watching different movies than yourself.

Next, you may then browse the list of Current Screenings and see if there are any specific movie events you would like to participate in. For these events, everyone participating will have their DVD playback synchronized so that everyone in the room is watching the movie at the same time. You can then freely discuss in the chat anything you'd like about the movie.

What's coming to ChatterFlix.com?

In future updates to ChatterFlix.com You will be able to schedule your own screenings for any movie DVD in your collection and invite all ChatterFlix.com members or host a private event for just you and your friends.
